a click away

You may have noticed some
changes in MRO Today recently, more new products, more “capsule”
case studies, and a lot more of those “Item 234” e-Response numbers at
the end of product releases and news items, too.
Starting with the June/July
issue, those e-Response numbers now have the power to deliver on the
promise their name implies — fast, electronic response to your requests
for information.
How, you ask?
I’m glad you asked that
question. Effective with this issue, we are now sending out a special
e-mail message to every reader in our e-mail databanks that contains an
amazing new tool — an intelligent one-click product request assistant.
Huh?
I’m glad you grunted that.
To use a suitably futuristic phrase, this “really slick” tool lets you
scroll, by company, through every product release and news item with an
e-Response tag in the print issue, and, with one click, request more
information about it.
But what if I don’t
remember what the product was just from the company name? Do I have to
go back and forth between the issue and the screen to make sure I click
the right item?
NOPE. Right next to the
company name on the screen is a little camera icon. Just drag your
cursor over that icon and the image and text from the magazine pop up
right in front of you, no click needed. You don’t need the print
magazine in your hand at all (which in my case is a very good thing
because I can click with one hand and do something more important with
the other, like eat). Once you use this new tool, we’re pretty confident
you will never want to request information any other way. Just don’t
drop crumbs in your keyboard while you do it.
Ok, ok, how do I sign up?
That’s easy, too. Just log
on to www.mrotoday.com and click
on the e-Response button at the top left of the home page. The same
functionality will be there, too, posted with each issue. And it will
stay there for a whole year, so if in six months you find an application
for a product you saw in this issue, you can go to the Web site and
request the info right on the spot, with one-click convenience.
What else do we have up our
sleeves? You will also see more surveys in coming issues, and more
opportunities to win cool new FREE tools just for taking those surveys
and sending us your e-mail address.
It’s all part of our drive
to transform MRO Today into the most accessible, user-friendly
information resource in the industry. With 120,000 readers, we’re
already the biggest. Now we’re focusing again on being the best.
