Ralph
Buskirk
team leader, CraftMaster Manufacturing
Ralph is a 29-year
CMI employee who, according to his co-workers, handles the dichotomous
nature of leadership with “guts and grace, firmness and fairness,
toughness and tenderness, and passion and compassion.”
“He is focused on
continuous improvement,” says purchasing manager Carole Snyder.
“He is dedicated to finding ways to standardize equipment. He works
with purchasing to find local resources to meet the needs of our
manufacturing facility. He knows the importance of internal customer
satisfaction.
“He is always
willing to lend a helping hand and yet not too timid to voice his
opinion in team meetings or when it comes to running the day-to-day
operation of a hardboard manufacturer with more than 600 employees.
“He dedicates his
days to making the operations more efficient — on a tight budget —
and finds ways to optimize his time and that of his co-workers. The
dollars saved by his tenacity are on record and we are fortunate to
have him on the CMI team.
“For
all of this and more, I believe that Ralph deserves a special pat on
the back.”
