Terry
Molnar
leadman, Flo-Tork Inc.
Frank Cerny, plant
superintendant at Flo-Tork in Orrville, Ohio, penned Terry’s
nomination. He wrote:
“We have a small
shop (34 plant-floor employees), but it’s a shop full of heroes.
These are people who work long hours just because the job needs to get
done and they want to give customers what they need. Terry Molnar
stands out from all of our other heroes.
“Flo-Tork
makes specialty actuators. Our biggest customer is Electric
Boat/Newport News Shipyards. Recently, the subyard asked our boss if
we could finish a long-term project in a very short time. We presented
the challenge to the people on the floor. With Mr. Molnar leading the
discussion, we decided to split our first shift to start a second
shift. Throughout the process, Terry worked with the foreman to help
coordinate the work flow. He was in the middle of all the new tooling
and was the leader of the people involved in all the new fixtures.
Prior to all this, Terry had back surgery. He talked his doctor into
letting him come back to work for the project. His dedication helped
everyone get the job done.”
